My name is June! I'm a technical designer and C++/C# programmer with a specialization in gameplay, tools, and UI/UX engineering. I'm a recent graduate of DigiPen Institute of Technology, with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Game Design! I've always had an interest in the amazing storytelling opportunities that video games can produce -- just by tricking rocks into thinking.
With 5+ years of experience from DigiPen, multidisciplinary teams, personal projects, and beyond, I thrive when I'm deep in the iterative and collaborative process of game development. I’ve focused on building tools that empower designers and artists to see their changes live in-game, improving the debugging process and overall development speed. I've been part of several game teams ranging in size from 4 - 22 people, and currently two of these games have been released on Steam (!!!!)
Additionally, I have a deep set passion for teaching. I've led classes as Computer Science Instructor at Coding with Kids, as well as being a DigiPen Teacher's Assistant for 3D level design. My philosophy is that the complex process of game design becomes simple once you have a concrete, self-sufficient understanding of the tools at your disposal. Seeing students with an applied understanding of those tools go on to make creative and fun projects is one of my favorite parts of being an instructor!
Outside of work, I like to play D&D, 3D model, and play games on my Playdate during my free time. If you're interested in contacting me, or seeing more photos of my dogs, you can fill out the form below or email me at juneendstrasser@gmail.com!
